It's no secret that you feed your bird seeds. DUH! But what else do you need to feed their little tummies and make sure they get all the calcium and nutrition that they need? Birds need to have access to a varied diet, they need fresh fruit, fresh veggies, seeds, millet, pellets, etc. In the wild a parrots diet can vary considerably from fruit, nuts, vegetables, corn, seeds and whatever is available to them. Foraging for food in the wild takes hours, so it is important to present foods in different ways to keep your bird busy and to enhance their foraging skills as they would in the wild. We know this which is why we supply items that help enhance their skills, keep them entertained and keep them busy.

Some of these great items are:

  • Foraging Wheel - Only $10.99
  •  Paradise FORAGING BALL WITH CHAIN AND BELL - Only $24.99
  •  ForageWise PARTY BAGS - Only $6.99
  •  Creative Foraging Tug N Slide - $51.99
  •  SuperBird Bottom's Up 43cm - $25.55
  •  Creative Foraging Push and Pull - $22.99
  •  Creative Foraging 3 Pull Out Drawers - $26.99

Back to variety in diet. I like to feed my birds parrot seed mix, fresh fruit, fresh veggies, mixed nuts as a treat, vetafarm nutriblend, millet, Joy Tutti Fruit as treats and occasionally I will mix up Egg and Biscuit for them. My family looks at me like I'm crazy! Only the best for my birds. Food processor saves me so much time when I have to chop the fruit and veggies. If I give them big chunks they like to throw it around, too small then they don't like it. Such fussy little birds. So introduce them to new foods, give them variety and pop some treats in a forage bag or forage wheel and just like that you have enhanced their wellbeing and nutrition.

We sell small packets so you can sample what your birds like. I know how fussy they can be! We have other varieties of Vetafarm Pellets for you to choose from not only the Nutriblend. We have great treats for your birds foraging needs or for you train or simply treat your bird. So why not mix it up? Your bird would love you for it.
